  • A data array is a set of contiguous data of the same data type with an arrangement of elements in one or more dimensions.

  • If the OPC server supports data arrays, then by configuring an item in OPC Client as a data array, you enable the OPC Client to read multiple values from an OPC server.
  • Reading multiple values with a single item simplifies the driver configuration and improves driver throughput.
