BLOB - Binary Large Object
A term used to refer to any random large block of data that is stored in a database, such as a video clips, sound files or document content data.
Typically, database management systems provide methods to create, delete or replace these objects, without the ability to interpret the contents of these objects.
BLOB (undetermined binary data type), such as an Excel spreadsheet, a PDF file, or a Word file.
Most of Industrial softwares specially Historians have this datatype now.
